Help with Food

The Helping Center is a food pantry serving the needy in southern Burnet County. HC was founded in 1987 and attained 501(C)3 status in 1992. We are supported by 10 member churches and more than 50 volunteers. Our clients are of all ages, genders, and races. Our services are essential to help clients navigate difficult life situations: unemployment, under-employment, changes in family status (divorce, death in family), or domestic abuse. We serve a large number of disabled individuals and many elderly individuals living on fixed incomes.
